About Bayli55 Racing - Who We Are

Whats the story?

Back in 2010 I was bought a Ron Haslam race school course and at the end of that day the instructor planted a seed, he said "You'd be competitive at club racing". That very week my first trackbike was purchased, an old 1999 Honda CBR600 and off we went to as many trackdays as we could afford, making progress through the groups until in February 2014 I had an off at Anglesey and broke my collorbone, not the best timing since I'd just bought a business! It was time to be an adult and put trackdays to bed.

Fast forward to 2020 and a small global event gave me some free time, ah yes, it's time to rebuild the old CBR. Obviously when it was finished I had to have one last ride...you know where this is going don't you? After a few sessions I picked up where I'd left off and realised I'd missed it plus I needed something more modern, an R6 which was shortly replaced by my dream bike, the Aprilia RSV4. Trackdays were back and I loved it more than ever.

Then one fateful day in 2023 a friend finally convinced me to ride his Honda CB500, within one session I was in love, who ever knew a bike like this could be so much fun? Can you guess the next bit?  Yes I was straight on the usual sites and found a cheap CB which was quickly purchased, ACU course booked in September 2023, it was now or never, it was time to finally go racing!

2024 I entered the 4 Preston and District rounds, got my first podiums in round 2 and my first win plus podiums in round 3. That year ended with an entry in the Wirral 100 Grand event in October 2024 where I got a best result of 4th against some very capable racers (including Manx gp riders!) in the open 500 class.

2025 saw me enter the No Limits Racing CB500 newcomer championship which is the fastest CB500 grid in the UK. Racing across 7 different circuits in the UK for 8 rounds of elbows out action! It was a season that included 18 podiums and 2nd place overall in the championship. There was also an endurance entry at Anglesey on a pre injection CBR600.

For 2026 I have entered No Limits racing CB500 , Fortis BMW F900r cup and National twins endruance championships. I will also have a wildcard entry and British Superbikes in the BMW F900r Cup as well as taking my first step in to road racing at Olivers Mount!
